Q: Why have I not received the confirmation and/or further information e-mail if I have already made a payment?

Q: I am already an SCGA Member through my parent's golf club or CIF. Does this mean I’m a SCGA Junior Golf Club member?

No. You will need to sign up with one of our online clubs if you would like to have SCGA Junior privileges. Your SCGA/GHIN membership number will remain the same. Please provide this number when applying for membership.

Q: What is the difference between Supervised and Unsupervised status?

All SCGA Junior members are given Supervised status upon completion of the online curriculum. An adult must accompany members at all times when utilizing the program.

To receive Unsupervised status, a golfer must be at least 13 years of age and have an established Handicap Index. An Unsupervised golfer has proven that they have the golf ability and maturity to go to a facility on their own. This means that a golfer can play a round of golf at a normal pace of play, understands the rules of golf and appropriate golf etiquette. To request unsupervised status, please contact us at junior@scga.org.

Q: I forget my child’s SCGA number, where can I find this?

You can e-mail us at junior@scga.org or call us at 818-980-3630 ext. 804.

Q: Can we use the program after we have registered, but before we receive the membership card?

No, you MUST have your membership card with you to be able to have access to the discounted range and green fees.

Q: My child hasn’t used the membership, can I have a refund?

If you request a refund within three months of making payment and your child has not checked in at a participating facility, you can request a refund. Once the refund has been processed, the membership will be inactivated.

Q: What do I need to bring with me to Youth on Course facilities?
